The opportunity for renewal that accompanies the turn of each year offers us a platform to recreate and redirect our lives in a way that aligns with our greatest purpose! Our purpose at Bliss is to provide a space for you to release the stress of life, to connect to the present moment, and to breathe and move in community. We need this now more than ever, and after almost two years of suppressing our program we are ready to revive the sanctuary that is Bliss Yoga!!
At the turn of the year the Lotus room will be restored to what it once was, and you will again be able to refine your alignment using the mirrors, our Lotus wall will be fully illuminated to bring back the ambiance of the space, and some additional upgrades to our room and equipment will be completed to make the space feel like an oasis again.
We also have some new class additions for January, including some fusion classes, Yoga Sculpt & Yoga Pilates Fusion, as well as more classes in the evenings and on the weekends to offer you more opportunities to practice. See our January schedule for all class changes and additions.
Along with our new weekly classes, we are also bringing in a unique Blissful Experience. A brand new workshop style offering that you can attend using a regular drop-in, class pass, or unlimited pass. The Blissful Experience class will be held on the last Saturday of each month at 4:30pm, and will blend the connected experience of yoga with the healing aspects of an additional service such as; sound healing, reiki, SIT, aromatherapy, acupuncture and more! This specialty class will have limited spacing, so register early to save your spot!!
With this redirection of our yoga program we will also be restoring the etiquette that help to maintain the sanctuary that is the Lotus room.
- We will no longer allow any personal belongings into the yoga space including cell phones, locker rooms are fully accessible and items can be locked away in one of our digital lockers or left in your car
- Silence is to be observed in the yoga room at all times, our yoga lounge is open with fresh tea available, and you are welcome to visit there before & after your class
- House yoga props are free for your use in class, if a teacher is using a specific prop for the practice they will post it on the white board outside the Lotus door (*note that all house props are sanitized after each use, please do not put them back on the shelf, but rather on the floor at the back of the room by the door so we know which ones need to be cleaned)
- To avoid disruption to the class, please arrive early enough to be in the yoga room 5 minutes before class starts, latecomers will not be permitted to enter once the closed sign is turned
- Yoga teachers are now permitted to walk around the room and offer physical adjustments throughout the class and will be wearing a mask when doing so, however if you prefer to maintain your personal space feel free to place one of our ‘no adjustments please’ buttons at the top edge of your mat (you can find these outside the Lotus door)
*Please note that your safety is still of great importance to us, and we continue to conduct a high level of sanitization to ensure the cleanliness of our space. Mask wearing will still be observed when moving through common areas where physical distancing is not possible, however once on your yoga mat you are free to remove your mask for practice.
Regarding cleaning protocols in between classes, the teachers are responsible for sanitizing all high touch surfaces including; door handles, light switches, recording equipment, music and heat controls, towel plate and tongs which are used for handing out the chilled lemon grass towels. Our towel service is given to only those students who want it and is done so after the teacher sanitizes their hands and puts on a mask. The attendants follow the teachers cleaning with a complete sanitization of mirrors and floors, and they will often double sanitize the high touch surfaces.
Change rooms and other common areas are also sanitized once class goes in so counters, lockers, toilets, sinks, etc. are all disinfected between use. Change rooms are open for those students who need it, but many students are coming ready to practice and bypassing the change rooms.
We have an excellent air exchange system in the yoga studio with the fan running at all times, and after each class do a full air exchange cycle, moving out the old air and bringing in new fresh air from outside. We have also added a Molekule Pro which uses Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO) nanotechnology to destroy viruses, allergens, bacteria, mold, chemicals & more.
All our staff are screened on the daily before they work/teach, and all students are also required to fill out a Covid waiver before each class they attend.
Certain class times will offer a streaming class while we still have online passes being used. Passes are available at a reduced rate of 50% for these classes. You will receive a link 30 minutes before the class to allow you to stream with the in-studio class.
Balance your mind and body in a rejuvenating yoga experience at Bliss YogaSpa. From our comfortable studio to our heated and non-heated yoga classes, we have brought together all of the elements necessary for achieving harmony and well-being.
Check your busy day at the door and immerse yourself in a calming experience. Enjoy a refreshing moment in our yoga lounge and locker rooms, both of which are supplied with amenities and high-quality retail products. Then participate in one of the many available yoga classes taught by our knowledgeable instructors - they’re never overcrowded. Yoga practitioners of all levels are welcome.
Please be prepared and in the room five minutes prior to class. Latecomers will not be permitted as we wish to honour those in the room as well as the teacher
Our yoga classes are held in our spacious and energizing studio, which is designed to promote health and wellness. Feel the benefits of negative ions (they help you absorb oxygen and feel more energized) as they permeate the studios through our Moodspace wall during a heated or non-heated class. During a hot yoga class, you’ll be heated comfortably by the American clay walls and the infrared heat panels on our ceiling. You’ll feel refreshed and rejuvenated after every class.
If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage that you discuss with your teacher - they are here to enhance your yoga experience. We also ask that you be on your mat five minutes prior to class start time as we close registration at that time. If you pre-registered and do not cancel within 2 hours or do not show up, you will lose one class off your pass or one day from your unlimited.
Please note to bring a towel for showering after your hot yoga class.
