This registered class offers expectant mothers the opportunity to discover how the practice of yoga can deeply support them through their pregnancy.
With guidance by our specially trained instructors, moms-to-be will be led through gentle yoga postures designed to support the body through the many changes that happen through each trimester. Instructors will also instruct breath work for pelvic floor health, and meditation techniques to help to maintain a calm mind and steady nervous system to best nourish the little life growing within.
This class can be beneficial for all trimesters and stages of pregnancy, however it is always recommended to talk to your doctor first. No previous yoga experience is required.
Drop ins for this class will be allowed if all registered spots do not fill, so if you cannot attend all 6 weeks of the program, please inquire about drop in options or partial registration options.

INTRO TO YOGA
Intro to Yoga is a 6-week registered class focusing on the fundamentals of the practice, such as; basic yoga postures (asana) & safe alignments, simple breath techniques (pranayama), and how to use yoga props so that even the most inflexible can participate and benefit from the practice.
Each week will be progressive, building upon the week before it to guide a deeper understanding of the practice. Expect to experience an increase in strength, mobility & flexibility, while also reducing stress & tension both in body and mind.
Many students have taken this program multiple times, however our goal is by the end of the 6-weeks you will be familiar enough with the practice to feel confident in attending any public class, or to even practice on your own at home.
